Verification exists to answer two questions: is this person an adult, and is this person who they say they are. Everything beyond that is surveillance wearing a safety costume.
We store the answer, not the evidence
Checks return a yes or a no. Documents are never retained on our side, which means there is no archive to breach, subpoena, or accidentally expose.
Verification is not vetting for chemistry
A verified person can still be a poor fit — or unkind. Verification lowers a specific class of risk. Your own pacing, references, public first meetings, and willingness to walk away do the rest.
